he Sandler family envisioned homemade fun-foods that the whole family, and their friends could enjoy. These foods would be made without peanuts, tree nuts, eggs or milk and despite all those left-out ingredients, these treats would be delicious. They would be so good, in fact, everyone (with or without food allergies) would ask to share them.
Who inspired their vision? Well, that was Benjamin, their youngest son. Benjamin can't eat anything that has even a trace amount of peanuts, tree nuts, milk or eggs. These food allergies have kept Benjamin from enjoying all the snacks his friends eat, and at times, have kept him from joining in the fun and being part of the group.
Craving to fit in, Benjamin was thrilled by the fact that the delicious treats his Mom carefully baked for him at home were just the thing all his friends begged him to share.
Knowing that there are millions of Benjamins out there, all wanting to fit in with their friends, but not able to eat traditional snack foods, Mark Sandler, an entrepreneur and owner of a successful business and his wife Lori, who spent 13 years as a marketing and communications executive, turned their complete attention to the creation of a product designed to make enjoying great, fun-food a group activity. They created Divvies!
Divvies, the product that's made to share, was born right in Lori's
kitchen from hours of concocting, taste-testing, and adjusting. Just
like all parents of kids with food allergies, Mark and Lori take
painstaking precautions in the preparation, baking and packaging of
their cookies and popcorn to avoid trace allergens, so they can deliver
a fun-food to be enjoyed.
Now, Divvies fun-foods are available to share with families and friends across the country. Divvies cookies, popcorns, and cupcakes are made in the company’s-own dedicated facility where no peanuts, tree nuts, eggs or milk enter the doors. Divvies candies, frosting, and sprinkles are certified by their manufacturers to be peanut-, tree nut-, milk-, and egg-free and are packaged in Divvies Bakery. Divvies conducts routine testing to minimize the risk of any cross-contamination in their certified allergen-free ingredients.
Thanks to Divvies, life's little pleasures of delicious desserts, are
now made to share.
